Alive?

So, is anyone still active around here on Somewhat Silent or has this blog site died out?

I’m a newbie here really, a number of the blogs are no longer being updated as I can see, I know too that have been dropped at least. The issue of poor Brit blogging deaf-wise, is a concern I always go on about. I’m in awe of American sites, there is ALWAYS something going on there, I think Brits just wanna get drunk basically, but don’t quote me, they’re a rough lot lol…………………..

It used to be lively here for the past year and two. Maybe the blog webmaster was on a long sabbatical, who knows? I know Sara’s out there somewhere. I still think this is a great blog that should’nt go away as it’s always been a deposit of great feedback.

Hey there Sanctum! This website is different. I don’t understand it…sometimes you get in different parts of the website if that makes sense. There is a lot of action going on that I can see, but if I click on your name it brings me to a different location..its strange…

    Bizarre!

I’m seeing the ‘new’ blog page which shows everyone’s name on the right and the current blogs. I’m not sure exactly what you see. It’s just that it was oddly silent for a while :) .

  5. Dee :

Sanctum-If I click on your name ( on the right side of this page) I get to this part of the website, if I just scroll down when I get to the website I don’t see your posts..I do not understand how it was set up, or how it works. If you click on the top word “somewhat silent” it brings you someplace else..

    Dee,

Another way is that you can click on the ‘comments’ below my name or the first thread you see on this page. It should open up the comments. I think what happened was that the webmaster removed the old school style of comments being shown first but the new version hides the comments and we have to click on the comment button to open them up.

Such as “comment (5)” meaning there are 5 comments. If the number increases, then you know there are new entries. Takes a bit getting used to.

i check in everry now and then, but you will always find me here: www.kimododreams.com/lette and here www.flickr.com/photos/lette_applejuice

  8. lette :

and if you ever need redirection to the main blog page here just click on the largest “Somewhat silent” text up at the very top, that will direct you to all the most recent entries

  9. Dee :

Lette-When I click on the “somewhat silent” at the top I can only see 3 comments from 2007. If I just get to the site then just scroll I can get the most recent, or I click on the comments on the right side of the page..

  10. Lette :

wow I think were all seing something different then!?? strange!

  11. Sara :

Hi guys, I’ll be bringing this site back up a little bit to make it a wee bit better again soon. Sorry for the long disappearance! I had a baby and it ate my time up. :)

Oh I just found your thread entry after overlooking it. I look forward to see the site’s improvement eventually. I’m sure having a family does tend to take up a lot of time :) .
