The Silence of Deafness is an Abstract, not an Absolute.
Hi all I have just started checking my mail as my sister was here on holiday for a month. It was really great seeing her.
I am so disappointed I made inquiries as to where I can take sign language classes. The only place that does it is about 1 1/2 hours drive from where we live and is very expensive. The first course of the year has already started and the next one is in June. Unfortunately for now both the distance and cost are a problem. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could start learning on my own? Any advice would be appreciated.

I live in Strand in the Western Cape. A number of people have given me amazing links for sign language. There is a link with South African sign language which my hubby says he will buy for me. Basically I will be able to teach myself. Hubby and hopefully my boys will join me.
I will see how it goes, I am sure it is going to be fun.
Hugs Mela
