It’s All Gone, Pete Tong

by @ 1:23 pm. Filed under Misc

For those into clever mockumentaries about people with hearing loss and into the DJ/dance club scene…go check out “It’s All Gone, Pete Tong”….it’s brilliant shyte.

Google it! Rent the DVD…I saw it at some deaf film festival here for the first time. If you liked “Trainspotting”, it’s like that in style…

oi!

EDIT: by the way, it’s about one superstar DJ who’s got a hearing loss and deals with it…it’s quite a good movie. Trust me.

I’m not trying to insult nor offend any of you guys on here because of this movie…I just happen to think it was a creative film and thought you might find it interesting to watch.

  2. Katie :

Glad you guys liked it :) .
    Oi! oi!
It’s All Gone, Pete Tong…such a catchy phrase..but Pete Tong is actually a real-life Brit DJ that cameoed in the movie.
Athina..you won’t regret it…I personally think it’s a great film…it does’nt completely reflect reality but it can come close to it…it’s just hilarious how the guy deals with it. The actor who played Wilde is a genius!

See! Lette Lette liked it! Oi!

Talking about great movies I watched “Children of a lesser God” last night. I found it very touching. It really shows how deaf/hearing impaired people we feel anything but normal and how normal hearing people expect us to feel normal. It also shows how frustrating it is for us to communicate with each other and that with a bit of compromise we can reach a happy medium.

uh huh I saw it ages ago, its one of those annoying ‘oddessy’ movies but yeah it hit home :) its all gone pete tong is a piss take and it brings a smile and I always like that :)
