The Silence of Deafness is an Abstract, not an Absolute.
Silence, truely is a comfort after a day of low noise, dont you think?
I just love to take off my aids after a long day of low noise and concentration, its like taking off ur shoes and socks after a long walk

Another great moment- when you’re grumpy and irritable, being squeezed into a subway car during rush hour- I like to turn my hearing aids off as a respite from all the chaos and noise.

Yup, and I adore babies, but if they are crying it hurts my ears with the aids on, so turning them off is a lovely choice
Also in heavy traffic, Poo!! hate that!!
