by @ 11:03 am. Filed under Misc

Just to let you all know..I’m not in Cleveland anymore and am in Burlington, Vermont….am a bit tired from moving and I think it’s better this way for me. I’ll still be on here as usual :) .

Hope you settle in soon. I’m told Vermont is a really nice place to live :)

It sure is nice up here..but chilly as hell for the moment. I’m settling in a bit and getting re-aquainted w/ the city.

How’s the deaf scene for Vermont?

    Sara,

I’m not sure but the last time I was here..they all use ASL and are’nt quite lip-readers like I am. In other words, I was the only ‘deaf’ in the area that could hear and speak orally. And usually the population is small and they’re hard to find. I know one of them who’s a family man now and he works a lot from time to time. He does’nt know I’m back up here but sooner or later, he will.
The deaf people my age are VERY rare in VT which is kind of disheartening and a lot of them are older in their 40s and older and I have no interest in hanging with 40 year olds nor ‘family-type’ people..it’s not my thing.
One deaf girl who is from Maine..when I first met her..she got paranoid about me wanting to have sex with her and she got the wrong impression about me since I was new here. If I ever see her again in the area and she continues with this paranoia, I will have to set her straight and tell her to cease with her juvenile behavior because she’s like about in her early to mid 20s. She was in NYC the last time I heard to live there and perform in deaf stage plays/performances/film, etc. However, she is an intelligent girl who’s a big fan of Lord of the Rings and is a linguistics major.
Last thing I want are paranoid women getting the wrong impression about me.
Even though there is a Yahoo Group for deaf Vermonters..not sure if it’s still up..who knows?
